2023.03.22 16:21 KrispyKingTheProphet What is is Waystar actually worth? Do these numbers make sense?
Speaking as someone with no experience owning major portions of companies, but dabbling in investments in other ventures I don’t understand the numbers thrown around in the show and I’m not sure if it’s because of my lack of knowledge or the show not caring so much.
So I’m sure there’s more clues, but I haven’t watched the show through in a while I’ve just recently watched season 3.
So we have Josh who owns 4%. He claims he’s lost 10% of that 4% then says “350 million” as the number that he’d like to get back. So it seems his 4% is worth 3.5 billion, though I suppose with his wording he could’ve meant he wants his 10% of 350 million back. That would make Waystar worth around 8.75 billion. Or going by what it seems he said, 87.5 billion.
Kendall wants 2 billion to get out and we know each of the kids have percentages allotted between them (as a move by Logan to consolidate power in theory, I imagine.) So we can assume Kendall has a decent chunk, probably quite a bit more than Josh.
Logan says he’d be leaving “5 billion” on the table if he doesn’t take the GoJo deal. This is where I start to not understand the value of Waystar. If going with the 8.75 billion estimate, that means Logan owns over 60% of Waystar which just doesn’t seem possible or even legal, I think. But if 10% of Josh’s 4% is 350 million and the companies 87.5 billion, then Josh’s 3.5 billion in total is pretty close to that 5 billion and Logan would only actually own 6-7%? Idk how acquisitions work.
Any more business savvy watchers, do the numbers they throw out make sense? I suppose it doesn’t matter if they don’t, I’m just curious.

2023.03.22 16:20 Nerevar_Again First Time Infinite with our good pal Silver Surfer the whole way! [Deck & Meta Thoughts]
| https://preview.redd.it/3q42o94p0bpa1.png?width=487&format=png&auto=webp&s=64873c80abac578a77a5f6e168bb0127ecbf074e [Obligatory apology if these types threads annoy some of you, but I've been playing since launch and am thrilled to have made it! I'm adding some thoughts on the grind to hopefully add some value to the post] -I had taken a Silver Surfer build to Vibranium a couple times before this, but I had really wanted Bast and got her to start this season. I ran a Bast-Negative-Surfer build all the way to 100, so I'm glad it paid off. I stuck with a Wong version of it, despite being telegraphed before turn 6, it's nice to have the option for it when you can't get Negative out early, or already have Iron Man/Mystique in your hand pre-Negative. -Relatively speaking, I cruised to Galactic before halfway through the month, and then was hard stuck bouncing from 93-99 for a week of grinding. I started to doubt the deck after being stuck int he 90s for a while, knowing full well it was off meta, but I knew it so well that I stuck with it. I'm glad I was able to accomplish it without leaning on Shuri or Aero -I was at 96 when the patch came through last night, which may have helped me along the way against Thanos decks--still lost to plenty of Shuri-Red Skull though! As many have said, I think that deck is just as tough to beat, and perhaps the best outright now. -Thanos really was ridiculous to play against pre-nerf, even when you had the upper hand, or even if I destroyed most of the stones with Killmonger. The amount of different things it can do is wild--which is fun--but Lockjaw into Leech is still easily the most annoying aspect of it. Leech is really pretty ridiculous if you compare it to almost anything else, pretty surprised it escaped a rework. -Not saying anything new here, but the matchmaking is definitely frustrating for players around 70--feels like you should not be getting so many top end players at that rating and it's not fairly using your CL or deck or rank to match you (thanks MMR). Not unique to Snap, fully, but it's a pretty disadvantageous form of matchmaking in a card game. -I hope we see more deck variation going forward, as much Thanos & Shuri as I saw in the 90s, there were a handful of other dangerous decks. I'm glad that Surfer was viable as I enjoy the logistics of playing this type of deck compared to power spiking big cards. Think we'll still be seeing plenty of that with Shuri still, though. Finally, my full deck: # (1) Bast # (2) Zabu # (3) Ironheart # (3) Mystique # (3) Rogue # (3) Wolfsbane # (3) Brood # (3) Silver Surfer # (3) Killmonger # (4) Mister Negative # (4) Wong # (5) Iron Man # eyJDYXJkcyI6W3siQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiQmFzdCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiWmFidSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXJOZWdhdGl2ZSJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiV29sZnNiYW5lIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJJcm9uaGVhcnQifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IldvbmcifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlNpbHZlclN1cmZlciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiTXlzdGlxdWUifSx7IkNhcmREZWZJZCI6IlJvZ3VlIn0seyJDYXJkRGVmSWQiOiJCcm9vZCJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiS2lsbG1vbmdlciJ9LHsiQ2FyZERlZklkIjoiSXJvbk1hbiJ9XX0= submitted by Nerevar_Again to MarvelSnap [link] [comments] |
2023.03.22 16:19 helikoopter It’s Not The Young Guys
Is It The Young Guys Hitting the Wall?
A lot of people continually point to this team being “young” and that they are subsequently hitting the wall. While there is no denying that this is a youthful team, the idea that their youth is somehow negatively affecting their results is what bothers me. From my vantage point, the youth is mostly doing their job, or at the very least, they are not entirely responsible for the Sabres defensive demise.
The last couple of weeks have been an absolute trainwreck, anyone who has been watching the games can agree. While there have been moments of something, it’s been a lot more terrible than okay. I decided to look at the last four games where the team’s defensive play was abysmal (5v5 4+ goals allowed - which excludes the games against the Rangers, Leafs, and Capitals). Admittedly, this is a pretty random 4 game sample, but we’ll look at a bigger picture after.
I’m using Quinn, Peterka, Krebs, and Power as my focus as those are the young guys (rookies, or near rookies). I’ve left out Samuelsson, although we can add him in later if necessary.
March 9 vs Dallas - 9 Goals Allowed 5v5 (45 skater goals allowed) Quinn - 3, Peterka - 2, Krebs, 2, and Power - 3 Not great, but far from the problem. That adds up to 10 goals out of 45, less than 25%.
March 17 vs Philadelphia - 4 Goals Allowed (20 skater GA) Quinn - 1, Peterka - DNP, Krebs - 0, and Power - 0 Wow, 1 out of 20 goals. Not at all the problem.
March 19 vs Boston - 6 Goals Allowed (30 skater GA) Quinn - 2, Peterka - 2, Krebs - 1, and Power - 2 Not great, but again, far from the problem sitting at less than 25%.
Last night vs Nashville - 6 Goals Allowed (30 skater GA) Quinn - 0, Peterka - 0, Krebs - 1, and Power - 1 That’s 2 out of 30. Yea, that’s not the issue either.
So in this admittedly small and random sample we have 2 games where the young guys were about average, and 2 games where they weren’t at all responsible for the defensive lapses (at least compared to their teammates).
As I said, this is a very small sample, it’s more pointing to the fact that the young guys haven’t been responsible for the poor defensive play recently - at least not enough that has created negative results.
So let’s look at a larger sample, say, since Feb 1 (I haven’t, but I’m sure you can roll the dates and things wouldn’t change significantly). Looking at rate stats (per 60) and 5v5 let’s see where the young guys rank at Goals Allowed.
Quinn - 18, Peterka - 12, Krebs - 19, and Power - 20.
I mean, that’s incredible. Not “hitting the wall” in the least bit.
The collapse we have seen in the second half (.40 pt%) of the season has not been due to the youth and inexperience of this team. There’s something much more significant at play. I’ve made my opinion known on multiple occasions. Let’s just stop pinning the blame on the young guys.

2023.03.22 16:15 Disastrous_Day_2166 In the middle of the 2015/2016 season how did people view Lebron? What was the consensus on him?
Basically around March 2016 how did people view Lebron and his legacy? What was the consensus on him? At this point Lebron had 2 championships, 2-4 record in the finals, 6 conference titles, 4 mvps and countless other accomplishments and stats. How was he viewed all time and did people think he was better than Curry for the best player in the league at this time? Remember this was mid season before the Warriors 3-1 blown lead in the finals and this was during Curry’s 2015/2016 unanimous mvp season, im curious at how people viewed Lebron back then, I wasn’t on social media back then so I’m curious.

2023.03.22 16:12 wetdirt114 2k24 Proposed Changes
I started playing 2k when it first came out on Dreamcast :) over 20 years ago - it was really aimed at being a simulation back then ... and I've purchased and played every year since then. I've also hooped at a D2 level, so any game that was basketball based, I was on it. iykyk.
These are my thoughts for how 2k could can build on what they’ve established. Also, really quick - I'm primarily a solo player that plays no-squad matchmaking and occasionally the park for the most part. So take my opinions with a grain of salt, especially if you're not into that game mode.
Latency
- My experience each year when it comes to shot timing has been different based on what I’m playing. From a MyCareer game to the park to the theatre to pro-am to the rec … this is getting old and should be, not only addressed, but mastered by this point. Very difficult with gameplay based on timing. No reason why I can play battlefield with 128 players and get an immediate response after pressing an input on my controller. Latency would’ve prevented zigzagging, it would promote better decisions on offense, and would allow defenders to react quicker. If nothing else changes - this alone would drastically improve gameplay.
Builds cost too much
- They've been steadily increasing, which is great for shareholders, however, for the last 4-5 years 2k has made significant gameplay changes starting at the 1 month mark and even late into the cycle. Find a solution that works to remodel your build whenever you'd like - players evolve just as the game does and often need to adjust their play style due to game updates without being able penalized financially. Upping the amount after each game played would be great too - that way players could essentially earn a new build with in-game currency because as of right now, that’s unrealistic.
Games are still to 21?
- I’d love to see regular games go to 32. More possessions - more opportunities - more experience to offset how steep the time to xp ratio is for games to 21. Some of the game modes in the theatre like the state farm or the double dunks five extra points for certain actions which is great, but it also makes the game go by a lot faster which isn’t a benefit for me … the ratio of time between matchmaking, intros, and outros is a lot longer than the game itself.
In-game indicators
- If my teammate makes a great drive and kick, being able to hold the left-directional pad and push A to pop up a speech bubble on my player that says ‘Great pass’ would be nice. Giving a high five would be great but that’s a wishlist item :) ‘Good defense’ and ‘no ball screen’ are a couple more I think would be useful. ‘Good shot’ … ok I’m done.
Extend more of the events to impact all online gameplay
- I play solo and in the theatre most of the time and if there is a gig running double xp for something, it generally doesn't count for me. Sometimes you can participate in wearing puma or adidas gear whenever that runs, but outside of that, nada. 2k doesn’t necessarily have to include the full bonuses, but bonuses should be included none the less.
Season rewards need to be reworked
- If I grind, don't reward me with something for game modes I don't play or helmets or flying stuff or a go cart ... give me a choice if it comes down to that. I reach a level, I get to pick from 3 rewards for example. How about earning gear that has skill attributes or takeover like attributes that can be cosmetically changed to anything you own - these shorts give a 10% boost to your takeover meter or these shoes add a 20% xp boost to 3pt shots made. Plus, not allowing xp coins to rollover into a new season is just petty.
Badge swapping in between games
- The badge load out quick swap is nice … well, it was convenient when it first came out, but being able to even access the menu/game options/badge selection screen etc. has been overdue. Especially when you have a great game and earn 2-3 badges … feels like you’re playing with a handicap.
Unreachable max rep
- The xp system has been too steep based on the angle 2k wants for people who reach 'legend'. For a game that is released every year, people who play for say 8-10 hours a week should be playing on maxed out everything halfway through the year.
MyCareer
- I’d be perfectly fine missing out on all the MyCareer story antics. Provide an option - it’ll still be great for content creators in the era we’re in, but tbh I don’t care for it and don’t like having to go through the motions.
Releasing a game every year is not it
- A 2 year cycle would allow devs to add more depth to the game and focus on making sure the next one is ready versus putting it out and fixing it for the first 90 days. Microtransactions will still carry you, especially with how much everything costs..
Position assignment when matchmaking 3v3
- If I have a 6'3" SF with a 6'10" wingspan, don't assign me as the big just because I'm playing with 2 6'8" guys with shorter wingspans. Use ball handling/playmaking abilities to determine that - or better yet, have whoever is by the ball take it out as what would happen in an actual park.
Promote team play
- Heavier weighted teammate grades that take things into consideration such as time of possession, passing to shooting ratio, making the right pass, taking poor shots, fouling after missing poor shots - plays should have a higher weight on teammate grades to penalize those who’d prefer to go 1 on 3 every possession. 2k23 tried with various game modes - that’s not needed, just adjusts the weight parameters.
Matching making courts in park
- The no squad park courts technically should simply throw players into matchmaking so that anyone can get into a game without waiting at any time. This would also resolve the ability for solo players who play the theatre to participate in ongoing events that are restricted to the park.
Players who quit should have badges that indicate that
- I mean there are a number of people who blatantly quit after starting off terribly - and that’s frustrating.
Matchmaking with blocked players
- Model call of duty - a notification appears indicating someone in your lobby is on your blocked list and gives you an option to leave. I end up on teams with people I’ve blocked before and it’s no fun.

2023.03.22 16:12 Alikhaleesi Season 16-Episode 4
I know some SVU episodes show crimes that have happened, only they change it some. Like the Slenderman , Brock Turner, JonBenet, BTK, etc. Well looking back, the episode “Producer’s Backend”, resembles Nickelodeon star, Amanda Bynes and Dan Schneider. I completely forgot that Amanda was groomed by the Jeffrey Epstein of Nickelodeon. Dan Schneider is disgusting. Poor Amanda.

2023.03.22 16:06 Lopsided_Avocado8580 Why no Spanish speaking legends?
Seen the first 3 episodes of world champs so no episode 4 spoilers please!
Given that production knew there would be 4 Argentinians on the cast and the language barrier could be an issue, I am pretty surprised that:
A) none of the legends at least seem to be competent in school-level Spanish B) None of the legends come from Spanish-speaking households (that we know of)
The answer to B is easy because I can’t think of a challenge champ in the post-Fresh Meat-era that may have come from a Spanish speaking household (correct me if I’m wrong please!) but considering Nelson, Nia, and KellyAnne were there, there are at least a few finalists who may have grown up speaking Spanish (Nany, Teresa, Sylvia, and Jenn come to mind.
For A I’m just like how did none of these people make it through American schools (except Theo) and not learn enough to make at least some conversation in Spanish. I didn’t even take it in high school; I took it for 6 months in college almost 20 years ago and can do better than what we see (traveled solo in South America recently so I can confirm my basic survival skills and flirting-with-men-who-speak-slowly-and-flatter-me-by-pretending-I-speak-like-a-college-lecturer-and-definitely-not-like-a-kindergartener skills). You’d think that at least half of these folks took it in middle/high school.
I’m sure production is playing up the language barrier because it’s “funny” and we don’t see better conversations in the edit but the overall effect is that it makes me sad for the Argentinians because they are reduced to the “fun, carefree Latinx” stereotype because they can’t engage in strategy.
Caveats: availability of the alternative legends I cited and also Challenge: Argentina ended so soon before Championship production had no idea the language competency of the Argentinian competitors.
I’m not all that annoyed at production because of some logistical constraints but I’m mostly shocked that no legend seems to remember basic Spanish or can even mimic a reasonable accent when they do say words!
I dunno, what do you all think?

2023.03.22 16:00 TheRickBerman Raffi has Borderline Personality Disorder
The character of Raffi, in Star Trek Picard, is a controversial one. Many viewers seem to find her the weakest part of the show. The character is, undoubtedly, emotionally unstable and presently incapable of serving as an officer, straining viewer immersion.
Setting aside the possibility this is weak writing, I thought it interesting how close Raffi’s behaviour aligns with Borderline Personality Disorder.
(To add, BPD is a serious condition and I trust nothing I write is interpreted as dismissive of people that battle with it or intending to trivialise or marginalise such people)
Wiki provides a good summary:
‘BPD is characterized by nine signs and symptoms. To be diagnosed, a person must meet at least five of the following’
1) Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment
Raffi is fixated on her status as an ‘outsider’ of Starfleet and Federation culture and seemingly obsessed with belonging in the uniform. She forms intense bonds with people she has met for brief periods - Seven, Elnor etc. She continually perceives others as not supporting her.
2) Unstable and chaotic interpersonal relationships, often characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation, also known as "splitting"
Raffi’s personal life is marked by dysfunctional relationships with her former husband and child. She is periodically obsessed and then entirely indifferent to their situation. Her reactions to Picard rapidly move from deepest respect to open mocking, often within an episode or single scene. She is inconsolable and then accepting of Elnor’s death, before repeating the cycle.
3) Markedly disturbed sense of identity and distorted self-image.
Raffi periodically perceives herself as a vital figure - in a galaxy of trillions - to the salvation of mankind before switching to hopelessness and resignation, often within hours. Raffi constantly perceives herself as uniquely qualified for tasks she is entirely unsuited for. Raffi has no awareness of her extreme mental instability.
4) Impulsive or reckless behaviors (e.g., impulsive or uncontrollable spending, unsafe sex, substance use disorders, reckless driving, binge eating).
Drugs - check, Driving - check, Walking (repeatedly) into gang territory with zero plan - check.
Raffi’s defining characteristic is impulsivity.
5) Recurrent suicidal ideation or self harm.
When we first meet Raffi she is battling drug and alcohol addiction which has contributed to her career’s demise.
6) Rapidly shifting intense emotional dysregulation.
Almost any scene serves as evidence of this. Raffi is constantly insubordinate and aggressive towards friends and appears in a state of agitation at most times.
7) Chronic feelings of emptiness.
The obsession with ‘saving’ the Federation, drug abuse, despondency etc. all support this.
8) Inappropriate, intense anger that can be difficult to control.
Self evident, wildly inappropriate emotional responses for a trained naval officer including when dealing with senior officers. Blaming people for actions they couldn’t have been involved with or influenced.
9) Transient, stress-related paranoid or severe dissociative symptoms.
Self evident, Raffi’s is shown as being reinstated in Starfleet in season 2 and functioning - but immediately breaking down when placed under stress. Her character is marked by extended cycles of lucidity followed by extreme agitation.
Perhaps in the remainder of season 3 the show may thoughtfully explore serious mental illness. If not, Raffi’s behaviour may be more understandable to the viewer as BPD, rather than inconsistent writing.

2023.03.22 15:58 LoretiTV Succession Season 4 (first 4 episodes) - Review Megathread
Metacritic - Universal Acclaim.
Score 88 Decider - "The first four episodes of Succession‘s final season are absolutely magnificent. Armstrong and his writers’ room finally let the metaphoric dominos they’ve been setting up for three seasons fall. The dialogue is as brutally sharp as ever and the ensemble cast pulls out some of their best, most devastating work yet. ... Succession Season 4 isn’t just good. It’s poised to handily sweep the 2023 Emmys."
Score 100 Collider - "The core of what we find so fascinating about Succession is stronger than ever in Season 4. ... These are episodes that you won't want to miss, with moves that'll have you picking apart the Roy family dynamics week to week and dying to see who'll win the rat race to the top."
Score 100 IGN - "The final season of Succession is one of the most anticipated television shows of 2023, and its first four episodes suggest it is not holding anything back. Powerhouse performances from the Roy clan offer a dazzling masterclass of buttoned-up emotions competing with years of desperately craving approval from the family patriarch. Each department behind the cast is at the top of its game, from regular Succession director Mark Mylod to composer Nicholas Britell. Swinging from comedy to drama helps keep the material fresh even when dealing with ongoing power struggles, and just when you think specific stories might become repetitive, something alters the course. If the rest of the season is as compelling, creator Jesse Armstrong’s choice to go out on top after this season will be the right one."
Score 10/10 Consequence - "The barbs sting as sharply as ever, while the drama escalates to the level one expects from not just a final season, but a final season of a show like this, one which has grown past its shaky early episodes to stand amongst the best series of the 21st century."
Score 91 Entertainment Weekly - "Very important things happen, none of which would be right to spoil, but it's fair to say these events inform and propel the family's interactions in ways we have not seen before."
Score 91 The Daily Beast - "There’s nothing particularly novel about Succession as it approaches the finish line, yet its stride is strong. ... The entire team is in top form, including Mark Mylod and his fellow directors, whose stewardship (all anxious handheld camerawork and charged snap zooms) is as sharp, rhythmic and volatile as the barb-laden writing."
Score 90 Variety - "While the season takes a bit longer to catch fire than its predecessors, once the shady dealing begins in earnest, “Succession” is more intense than ever. And with the series finale in sight, the show has a full tank of gas and an 800-pound gorilla’s foot on the pedal. Better than ever doing business with you, Succession."
Score 90 Rolling Stone - "Significant choices are made, by both the characters and the creative team, that cannot be taken back. It is full steam ahead to the end. Much of what happens is shocking and/or shockingly poignant, especially since it is a show about the absolute worst human beings alive. The one aspect that remains unsurprising is how incredibly funny the show is. ... Armstrong and company also continue to demonstrate a marvelously deft balance between the yuks and the tragedy of it all. ... It’s doing absolutely everything it wants to in the here and now."

2023.03.22 15:55 anabolic_coach Q&A #67...Dorian Yates "Shadow Warrior" Review
| Q: Hey Coach how is your day going? I hope things are going awesome for you. I just wanted to drop you a line and say thank you for giving us some great information on such a wide variety of topics. I like the fact that you are multi-faceted and not just talking about the drug end of the sport. I do like that contents as well don't get me wrong but I also really enjoy all the recipes, health and longevity info, as well as your crazy stories. Damn bro you have some crazy shit happen to you often eh? My question is about training videos from the Pro's. I have all of Ronnie Coleman's videos and I love watching them. Is there another one you could recommend for me that would be motivational yet informative as well? I am not biased to any one single Pro so it could even be someone I am not familiar with. Let me know your thoughts as I know you give amazing recommendations for just about everything. Thanks Coach Shadow Warrior is a Classic! A: Hey man thanks for writing in. I always look forward to guys sending me DM's with their questions and I do my best to help them. So you are looking for a good motivational and educational video are you? No worries I have one that you will really like for sure. I will recommend a video series that is by none other than Mr. Olympia Dorian Yates. So let's take a look at what this is all about. What an Amazing Trailer! The “Shadow” as Dorian was called during his competitive heyday was a term that would invoke fear into the hearts of his competition. It was the 1990’s and Dorian was tearing up the Olympia stage like a true warrior and he wasn’t taking any prisoners. His domination on the platform was truly out of this world because he ushered in a new era of the mass monster. I remember as a teenager the amazing transformation Dorian did back in 1993 and those black and white photographs of him posing in the offseason. One of the Best Backs in Bodybuilding History! Just looking at those photos still motivates me to this day as they are truly legendary. Now in my opinion Dorian brought together the ultimate physique that will be remembered for decades to come. He packed on slabs of lean dense muscle, but at the same time, he never lost the aesthetic and symmetric proportions that seem to have disappeared within this last decade. He also was known for his conditioning and paper-thin skin. He would come in more dry and peeled than an onion. He was the perfect mix of mass, symmetry, and conditioning. A combination in my opinion, that has yet to be matched to this day. The 1992 Transformation that Blew Everyone's Mind! One Hell of a Video! Dorian has recently released his new training video called “Shadow Warrior” and for all of you who are Dorian fans, it is a must-see. I have seen just about every bodybuilding video produced. Some of them are good, but then you have many that are too predictable following the same format. It consists of bodybuilder X working out then eating a meal. That gets boring pretty fast for even the most simple-minded bodybuilder. I want to give a huge thumbs up to Garry Phillips and Abhijit Chattaraj for producing one of the best bodybuilding films ever! Yes, folks, it’s that good and isn’t something I can say for the other dozen or so bodybuilding films produced every year. I was very impressed not only with the layout of the film but also the direction was superb. Rowing 200 Pound Dumbbells for the Cover of FLEX Magazine! Welcome to Temple Gym This is not one of your simple hour and half bodybuilding flicks where it’s a back and forth mixes of training and eating and training and eating. It is a hell of a lot more than that and should be a reminder for others producing films to take as an example. It is set on two discs and contains close to 6 hours of amazing footage. The first disc covers the main feature and it was nothing short of amazing. It starts off with Dorian giving us a tour of Temple Gym and welcoming some different pros like Tony Freeman and Dennis Wolf in for a workout. Dorian also spends time with all his fans that come and visit him no matter how big or small. He is well known to give back to the sport and is always helpful to everyone that comes to Temple Gym. One part I really liked about this is that he included some awesome archive footage from the 1990s. It contained some video footage of photoshoots and guest posing appearances that I have not seen anywhere else. It also covers a lot about his history in the sport from the time he got started as a teenager and his amazing progression over the years to become a 6 time Mr. Olympia. Included on this disc is also his 1996 interview at the Grand Prix. This was something that I never saw before and was very interesting to take a look back at one of his famous interviews. Dry Dense Mass Monster! Blood and Guts Now just when you thought it was over think again. Next up is over 2 hours of one of his seminars at Liberty’s nightclub way back in 1990 after his Night of the Champions win. Now for those of you who are into volume training and have never tried his hardcore approach then I suggest you give it a try. In my opinion, for those that complain that they don’t get enough out of this style of training, I believe it’s because you don’t train with the intensity needed to make it work. Let’s be honest most guys that call themselves bodybuilders train with the intensity of a yoga instructor and simply don’t have the balls to destroy the weights with ten percent of what Dorian put into his workouts. Very Few Trained as Intense as Dorian! This is why high volume is so popular these days. We all know that Dorian trained like an animal in the gym and for those of you who didn’t see “Blood and Guts” then you don’t know what you are missing. Second many who try this system are not properly educated on how to incorporate it effectively. If you fail at these two most important pillars of this method you are doomed to fail. During this seminar, Dorian covers a treasure chest of training and nutrition knowledge. This info alone could have been a complete DVD and would have provided more useful information than most videos out there. Teenage Dorian Never Giving Up! Time for Pain My favourite part of this video collection is where Dorian takes some top pro bodybuilders and gives them a taste of his style of training. This is kick ass because not only are you learning from him directly in the gym but also watching him punish his clients is worth the price of admission alone. It shows some footage of him training back with Zack Khan before the British Championships. One quote I really liked is when he punishes them into the ground he mentions how all the weights at Temple Gym are heavier than other gyms. This goes to show that even with advanced pro’s that have been training for 15 to 20 years, Dorian still is teaching them how to maximize muscle contraction and perfect their form. In my opinion, no one in bodybuilding was more critical about proper biomechanics of exercise than Dorian, who looked for every angle to fully decimate the muscle. Dorian Stayed Lean in the Off Season! A Workout from Hell! He puts the most renowned writer in bodybuilding history, Ron Harris through one hell of a leg workout. I am sure that workout left him limping in pain for at least a week to come. He also puts Evan Centropani through a back workout that is truly legendary. But the most inspiring part is his training sessions with Chris Cormier. As Chris mentioned, he’s been training for 30 years and the intensity of Dorian’s workouts are off the charts. Dorian puts him through a leg workout that will stay etched in Chris’ frontal lobe for the rest of his life. Pain and Suffering To Create a Champion! Dorian punishes him on a gauntlet of exercise all the while training like a beast himself. But the hack squats at the end of his workout leaves Chris on the verge of an out of body experience. Chris was suffering in pain and was swearing more than someone with Tourette’s. He stumbles up the gym stairs to lie in the dirty alley outside to multiple episodes of dry heaving and vomiting. Dorian brings him some water and tells him to get up because he’s making the place look untidy. This is classic footage of the reality of Dorian’s training sessions on one of the sport’s most experienced pro bodybuilders. It finishes off with a major photo collection of Dorian from his early training days and competitions all the way to the Olympia stage. The Original Mass Monster! Classic Footage Now for those of you who were thinking about ordering this video all I can say is that it will be a classic added to your collection. It has tons of valuable educational information that you can apply to your training and nutrition program. But best of all the raw footage seen here is not available anywhere else and believe me it is truly priceless. Dorian is a Big Fan of Medical Cannabis! I was very impressed not only with the content but the layout and production were fantastic. This is without a doubt my favourite bodybuilding video released in over a decade. If you are looking to add one new bodybuilding video to your stash this year then this is the one to have. Yes, it’s that good so get yourself a copy while you can!
