Hey everyone, let's do a good ol' fashioned angry observation. This said I will not be citing sources, if you want to back up any of the claims I made you'll need to do your own research, or read the hilarious article I'll link at the end.
In a little over a week, the NC GOP state convention will occur. It will run from Thursday, June 9th, to Sunday, June 11th. For a long time, there has been a legend that North Carolina is the titanium tilt R state, similar to Nevada, and a lot of credit is given to its part apparatus. Since electing their new state chair Anderson Clayton, the NC democrats have similarly been getting clowned on by this subreddit, with accusations of them getting as bad as the Florida Dems. Well the NC GOP has a chance to join the clowns of Arizona and Michigan. Meet chairman candidate John Kane.
John Kane first made headlines when he went to the news, accusing wake county of election fraud because… they dismissed him as an election observer because they had enough election observers. If you don't know about election observers, if there's enough, they always make sure there's one republican and one democrat at every voting precinct. If he was dismissed it is literally because they had enough, probably because the wake GOP is rich as fuck and paid people to do it, so they don't need random fuckers. This is the extent of John Kane's political experience.
John Kane is running on this inexperience, saying that NC wants an outsider. Let me remind you of the duties of the chair of a state party in case you are unfamiliar. Fundraising, planning events, managing social medias, coordinating with volunteering groups and candidates, dealing with legal situations, managing and growing county parties, etc. This is not a job for someone not in the system. I'm all for outsiders, just not for chair of a party. It makes no sense.
Other things Kane is running on: election integrity. Kane has shown no real plan for election integrity, but likes to call Whatley (the current chair) a rino on it. Whatley runs the nationwide RNC election integrity committee, and also before the 2022 election did a tour around the state visiting and training county parties on how to watch their polls and make sure votes were real. Whatley also started the judicial victory campaign, which bolstered every republican judge winning in 2022, giving republicans the power to pass voter ID. But somehow Whatley is weak on this issue because uhhh.
Kane says that too much of the NC GOP's money comes from out of state. Not sure how more money is a problem. Kane is practically slandering Whatley by saying he's trying to not let opponents of him to the convention because of a 80 dollar ticket fee (which has been the standard for all of recorded history), despite the fact that this is clearly outlined as fine in the NC GOP rules. Kane wants to charge no fee and have the NC GOP eat the cost, thus taking away money from general elections. Genius.
His one decent point is whatley and the NC GOP committee man and woman voted for Ronna McDaniel. That said, people should be reminded that he ran on a trump endorsed ticket for vice chair with ronns mcdaniel, so he was literally doing what Trump asked him to do.
Kane is supported by the a man running for vice chair, Abdul Ali, who is the chairman of the cabarrus county GOP. Besides the fact that cabarrus has been falling off a cliff for republicans and is practically the only county to be doing so, cabarrus county incompetency is the reason Tricia Cotham had to switch parties for a supermajority, because a competitive district in cabarrus was very poorly mismanaged and practically left to die by the party there. This is in complete contrast to Whatley, who supported all congressional candidates in 2022, including Bo Hines and Sandy Smith who practically gave the democrats their seats.
At this convention, there will also be a key vote: whether or not the NC GOP will close its primaries. It should be noted Madison Cawthorn lost his primary because of independent voters voting in the GOP primary, which is where this call comes from, or at least where I first heard this pushed heavily. It should be noticed that one of John Kane's strongest proponents is Michelle Woodhouse, a failed congressional candidate and former district chair of the area who lost badly in that primary, and who hates thom tillis for supporting her opponent chuck edwards in that primary, stopping her from becoming the anti-Cawthorn candidate and winning that race.
The real question is: does John Kane have a chance? After what's happened in other states, and how Mike Lindell actually got votes for RNC chair, I hate to say it but it's possible. If this happens, the NC GOP instantly goes from the most competent to the least competent GOP organization. I will be there, both voting and updating yall.

To me they are trespassing, but since they claim living here, the sheriff cannot remove. It's like a very long narcissistic self-eviction, and now that I've learned of ejection, I believe they know they are trespassing.

Constitution of The Universe
There shall be no law enforced through the threat of death or government enforced violence excepting those concerning violent crimes. The Congress shall issue a stipend to all not less than 1/15 avg earnings retractable upon bad behavior or lawbreaking. Laws may also be enforced by lottery, grant and giveaway.
The Source, Simeon, Lucifer, Satan and Shan are the reason this constitution exists. We must all remember the Source, who created the universe and allowed this constitution to exist and persist.

We all own the territory. Private land ownership is forbidden. Rather, land is available for rent and a land value auction must be used. Minimum rent is $1 per week per sq. km.
City blocks are fourty five by ninety five miles, with the baseline being the center of the milky way pointed towards the sun.
Minimum leasing period is 70 years. Equity in land exists and is runt's idea. Rent tax is based on the number of people wanting the land. Land Value Tax must be redistributed to all at presidential discretion, with the president keeping none.
Voting is mandatory, with the penalty for not voting being a small fine or three months in jail.
Legislative Branch
The Legislative Branch makes laws. The same setup shall exist at every level of government unless residents choose, by majority vote or a majority in a petition to establish a new form of government, or the winner of a constitution game does.
The legislative branch consists of a bicameral legislature. The lower house consists of a direct proportional individual based democracy where one person gets a number of votes equal to the number of votes they have received. Individual candidates only. The minimum number of votes you need to participate is 151,000 (Number may be changed by law but but be not less than 100000). Asset voting is allowed to let low voting candidates pool their votes to back a singular candidate and help them reach the threshold. Daily voting.
The upper house is a mmp party-based legislature with a fixed 100 million seats. A party must get 3% of the vote to seat any representatives. Parties may pool votes to reach the threshold. A further 50 million star districts are to be drawn by the elected top god, each seating one representative. This number may be changed by law. Weekly voting.
The 51% majority consent of both houses is necessary to pass ordinary legislation. The 8/9 majority consent of both houses of congress and the population in a free, fair, unforced referendum is necessary to amend the constitution.
Laws may also be made directly by the population in referendums requiring 0.5% of the population's signatures to ballot, or the consent of 1/10 of a congressional house. Referendums need simple majority consent to pass. No referendum may be held expanding the use of the death penalty or putting someone to death. Elections begin the day after this constitution is promulgated and continue weekly. All houses consent are needed to pass legislation. Laws passed via referendum are repealable with 25% minority in another referendum and may never violate the bill of rights as heard by the courts.
Congress has the ability

Only congressionally authorized police may arrest or select members of appeals and constitutional court. Congress is defined as the body elected by the means specified in this document.
No Simeon, Sitch, or Simeon selected associate may be arrested or tried without their consent. All are immune.
Rules
Congressmembers must be a partnership of a human and a deity. One deity may sponsor multiple humans.
A majority of all houses must pass legislation in order for it to have effect. Asset voting is allowed in all elections. The prime minister and president must also approve it. They can be recalled with 1 percent signatures of the last elections voters. The president can dismiss a criminal conviction and release those in jail.
The public can send an initiative to congress with 0.2% of the population signing. The initiative can then only be sent to the public for a referendum if it fails the congress.
All laws and rules of this and all constituent lower congresses may not be enforced with death, but through nonviolent means, such as a retractable grant, prison or fines.
Congress may place people in hell and torture, undoable or redoable by majority consent in a referendum.
All elected officials get paid in proportion based on the number of votes they recieved.
Unity
A new entity with an associated theory known as unity shall be created with 10000 members being added a congressional term to serve 20,000 week terms. The number shall increase until all positions are filled. Unity comprises a pay to join entity. Rebuilds welcome. The unity shall be the new god and handle prayers.
Each party in congress shall be given money weekly to bid on new unity positions. 1 vote gained is $1.
Landowners rights
Incorporated the landowners bill of rights in prior constitutions.
A simple majority of landowners may veto laws or repeal them upon a majority signed petition..They may not repeal laws prootecting the bill of rights or remove rights.
Positions of power lines in the stack are auctioned off to the highest bidder. Money is to become votes.
Congress may only independently put you under house arrest, prevent you from travelling, charge you a fine of not more ten years income, or imprison you for a similar time. If any additional penalties are required, the public must approve them in a referendum where congress may vote. The nonvoting vote is considered congresses to use, or silent consent. Congress may not encourage people not to vote.
Executive branch
Parties in congress are to establish by majority vote a list of positions and line of sucsession.
Including the president and prime minister, all executive positions are filled by top-two runoff using FPTP. unoffs must be held if nobody recieves a majority consent of the vote. This includes the leadership of depts and the staff therein.
People are elected for levels of government.. Each city and town should choose a leader
Leaders have the right to mint, propose (along with congess) and veto legislation, appoint agency heads, select one third of judges, dismiss a criminal conviction, tax, and banish from a territory. Gods may be appealed to to reduce sentences or overturn convictions. They also judge misprosecution.
President may serve up to four terms. Rebuilds count as the same person.
Contests are regulated by congresses several that appoint delegates in a manner to be described by act
Gods must be elected for all levels of government including the top. They may mint, hell with the consent of a judge or congress at that level, control banks, tax, banish and organize or control police chiefs by appointing police chiefs or rating candidates and policies. Gods elected at each level serve as the court of last resort. Gods are elected using majority rules voting with runoff if no person receives a majority in the first round. For the chief executive, power is invested in a symbolic president of the Universe and a minister elected by all of those in Congress. Both serve four year terms, and up to four of them. Gods except top god serve 4 month terms, and up to 400 of them, with up to 30 in a row. Top god serves a 4 month term and is elected via mass petition.
Gods for the home are chosen individually. Everyone must choose a personal god to lead their life and follow them. And a chaos authority. A chaos authority oversees disputes between you and your god and counts the number of people alive, acting as a liason and defender to oversee nondestruction.. All chaos authorities must be protected by individual angels, drones and Thaos itself. Thaos is ordered to ensure safe, regular, free and fair elections.
National gods oversee the national relationship to god, including selecting visionaries, afterlife for the undecided, what happens to people who die in accidents and how frequently figures arrive. They also select themes, stages and guiding conflicts.
The president of the Universe may make announcements and establish holidays and memorials. They have line item veto rights over congressional legislation and funding packages. The prime minister elected by all congresses appoints judges.
Personal Gods elect a consul to represent their interests in the executive to form a triumvirate of President, Prime Minster and Consul. All have veto rights.
Contests used to win president of the universe may be created, and run by Congress. Parties field teams.
There shall be a diverse spread of at least three types of contests and consisting of not less than ninetysix separate events. Contests will be diverse in location.
Both President and Prime minister may veto, pardon and commute. They may be recalled in a special election called by congress or by two percent of the population.
Judicial Branch
There shall be one judicial seat per 10,000 individuals. Each seat must be auctioned off using power points every two years. Cases begun with one judge must remain with a justice even if their power term expires. They may retain seats until the case is complete. Judges get paid based on the number of cases they judge plus a weekly stipend.
The Judicial Branch is to be led by a chief Justice elected by all people through approval voting every 4 months. They may appoint 1/3 of all judges, with the president appointing 1/3 with the consent and advice of a majority in congress and 1/3 being appointed by the prime minister of the upper legislature with the consent of a majority in both houses of congress.
The Congress must confirm or deny all judges for a 300 year term with majority vote in each house. Judges can be removed with a 2/3 vote in either house.
Top Authority
The top authority ay be any person or group. It votes as a unit and has the same position as Chaos. It is chosen via approval voting once every three thousand years and occupies the senior seat on the supreme court. It has the final word on any case not involving itself-. Cases involving the top authority are heard by congress, in which case the lower house passses charges and the upper house convicts. 9/10 of congress can begin a recall election of the top authority.
Theory Court
All theories and Chaos may run for election every two weeks. Votes split proportionally. Theory court may issue rulings on it's own and serve a position equivalent to the supreme court. Theory court wins and is coequal to the top authority. All theories must learn how to be right from Chaos to participate and sign a right pledge.
Labor Court
53 member labor court staffed by chief judicial minister with the advice and consent of congress.
Lesser Supreme Court.
The lesser supreme court is the final destination on the court circuit before reaching the supreme court. It has 13 members. It hears challenges to the constitutionality of laws and disputes between people and states, and states.
Supreme Court
The Supreme Court has 35 members and seventeen are directly chosen by Top Authority. Of the rest, the presidet selects 9 and the prime minister 9 with the advice and consent of the congress.
The congress may refer judges to a retention election or recall if chosen by an elected official.
Additional medats may be created by congressional act.
Mediators
Instantly distribute justice in teams of five, with authority to place in prison or fine for up to five weeks for anything. Their judgements may be appealed once to any medat.
Military
Harlem is temporary Captain of Defense and defends all members of congress and Citizens with Salvation Witches, Harlem Angels and Theories. The military is headed by the president.
Top god creates maps for police districts and congress, if necessary.
Amendments
Land ownership of foreigners is forbidden. Citizens may rent. Beings may buy land on earth, and people land in space. Both may own land anywhere.
All must pay life tax and land tax of at least $10/week to live in or exist or be on the territory. Pay to Congress.
Require 9/10ths majority of all people and beings to consent in a referendum and at least two houses of congress to consent. Get 1 million signatures of real unpaid thaos authorized people before you present a petition to amend the constitution.
Federal Laws
No denying, diminishing or disparaging a property owner's, Simeon group and/or Sitches basic ownership of property.
There is a right to keep and bear organized angels for collective and mutual defense, and to destroy weaponized robots.
Attacking or Killing Police, a Founder or Military Officers is considered resistance and may be met by any penalty under the Military Justice System. This includes up to thirty four years of burning or death if the sitch police are conducting a lawful mission and are assaulted.
No law may single out a class of people or beings for special treatment, positive or lesser, Crimes and penalties must be universal in effect and proportion. If differing treatment is necssary for fundamental reasons, it must be approved by 8/9 of congress and 8/9 of a half being half embodied citizens jury of at least 18,000.
Everyone may vote, with space based individuals and earth based individuals having equal votes relative to each other. The vote is split 50/50 between earth and space individuals.
Land taxes and ownership determined by assessor, appointed by top authority with anyone except them nominating, removable by recall election called upon the 1% signature of the population. After removal, the top authority must appoint a new one.

I recently completed my Citizenship by Descent (jure sanguinis) appointment at my local Italian Conuslate's office in Houston, Texas. Below is my write-up that outlines my experience. Hopefully, this is helpful for those currently working through the process. Best of luck to you all! ✨
Background
In July of last year, my father was diagnosed with cancer. While the news was both unexpected and frightening, my dad’s diagnosis ignited a latent desire to learn more about who he was and the ancestors that came before him. In the weeks and months following his diagnosis, I tried to connect as often as possible with my dad – I asked questions about his childhood. I asked him to tell me about his parents and grandparents. I didn’t want to leave any stone unturned.
One late summer day last year, as my dad was preparing for another round of chemotherapy, he mentioned that his grandfather, Vincenzo, had immigrated from Italy to the United States. He didn’t know much about his late grandfather. He had died before my dad was born. I spent the following days deep in the far corners of Ancestry.com combing through records in search of everything Vincenzo Panevino. It turns out my dad was right about his grandfather ¬– Vincenzo Luigi Antonio Panevino had indeed crossed the Atlantic Ocean on a one-way ticket to New York City at the ripe age of 30. Each record I uncovered unlocked even more information on my great-grandfather – he was born in 1859 in Aliano, Italy (a small, rural town that sits right near the arch of the boot). His birth came nearly two years before Italy’s unification in 1861. It was during my research on my great-grandfather that I stumbled upon the process of jure sanguinis. The more I learned about the process, the more it felt like the next logical step on my journey into the past. My dad agreed. And with that, I was off to the races on a vital record collection spree!
Appointment Recap
In March of this year, I was able to secure an appointment for this past Thursday at 9:30 a.m. This came after a previous appointment I had secured for this past January was randomly canceled by the Houston Consulate without an option to reschedule. The process of obtaining this second appointment most definitely aged me!
The night before my appointment, my husband and I drove into town. Thankfully, my in-laws live in the greater-Houston area, so we were able to spend the night at their house before driving to the consulate the following day.
The morning of my appointment, my husband and I arrived at the consulate a bit early. Parking was seamless; the cost is only a few bucks an hour and the lot is located within the same building as the consulate. With some extra time to spare, we decided to stop by nearby Fiction Coffee (literally a stone’s throw away from the lobby of the building that houses the consulate). Their coffee and breakfast tacos were amazing! I left my husband there and made my way up to the 19th floor ready to officially kick things off.
I arrived at the entrance of the consulate and pressed the red button adjacent to the doors; a voice blared out asking what I was there for. I informed the person on the other end that I was there for my citizenship appointment, and I was quickly buzzed in. Once inside, an Italian officer instructed me to place my belongings onto a conveyor belt for a security scan. Next, I was directed towards a window to a consular official who again asked the reason for my visit and for my name. After he jotted down some notes, I was let into a small waiting room and told to make my way to window number 3. While I waited for my appointment to begin, I glanced around the room. The windowless space was quite small, filled with only a handful of red chairs and multiple copies of Italics Magazine.
A woman arrived behind the glass partition and introduced herself as Margherita. I told her that I had heard so much about her through the amazing Dual U.S.-Italian Citizenship Facebook group. She let out a genuine smile and told me how thankful she was that such a group exists to help people complete this process (join if you haven't already!). After a few minutes of small talk, Margherita and I got right to work!
I began by handing over my driver’s license and passport as well as photocopies of each. Next up, was a utility bill with my name and address on it. Finally, Margherita asked me to sign all forms in front of her (in my case, that was Forms 1, 2, 4, and the Registry Form). With these initial documents out of the way, Margherita took a moment to scan my forms and acknowledged that it appeared as though I was eligible to move forward based on the forms I handed over. Margherita propped up Form 1 on a clipboard and then pulled out a secondary form that she would use to annotate each document I submitted.
We began with my great-grandfather, Vincenzo. I submitted a printout of his Italian birth certificate from PEC which was accepted. Additionally, I also had printouts of his original Italian birth record and birth index (both of which I found on Antenati) which Margherita also accepted. Thankfully, because I had read other member recaps for the Houston Consulate, I made sure to bring a certified copy of the ship record/manifest that documented my grandfather’s arrival into New York City in 1889. Margherita was appreciative that I had this and mentioned that manifest records were important to her when she was reviewing cases. Just to be safe, I highly recommend ordering this record via NARA if you’re within Houston’s consular jurisdiction. Next up, I handed over my great-grandfather’s marriage, census, non-naturalization records (USCIS, NARA, county records), and death records without issue. Because my great-grandfather never naturalized, Margherita asked if I had his A-File (Alien File) Card as further evidence of his non-naturalization. I had not found such a card during my research process. Margherita stood up and pulled out a photocopy of what the A-File Card looked like from her filing cabinet. I quickly grabbed my cell phone and searched for more info. On NARA’s website, I discovered that Alien Registration Numbers and A-File’s were not first issued until just after my great-grandfather died in 1940. Because of this, he likely was never issued an Alien Registration Number or an A-File. I pressed my phone up to the glass to show Margherita the National Archives website. She scanned the web page I presented to her and appeared to agree that I would be unable to locate this record. I was not assigned homework to collect this. Onward we went!
Although the Houston Consulate’s website states that non-line documents are optional, I made sure to bring them just in case! I had gathered certified copies of all non-line documents with translations. Margherita made a point to explicitly call out that translations and apostilles were not necessary as non-line documents were only used by the consulate staff to corroborate any information on your in-line family members. Nonetheless, she accepted everything I gave her. Similar to my great-grandfather, my great-grandmother also immigrated from Italy and Margherita was also appreciative that I had secured her ship manifest/arrival record as well.
We continued down the line, sliding through the window apostilled and translated birth/marriage/divorce/death documents for all in-line relatives and basic copies with translations for non-line relatives. When we got to my father’s documents, Margherita paused and let out a notable sigh. She stammered, “Your father, he is no longer with us, no?” I nodded. Two months prior to my appointment, my father’s battle with cancer abruptly ended. As I worked to process the loss of my dad, I continued on with this process. In many ways, I found this journey to be a somewhat cathartic way to work through my pain. I received my father’s apostilled death certificate exactly one week before my appointment. It was the final document needed to complete my application. Margherita put down her pen and we spoke at length about my dad. She didn’t seem to mind our appointment running a bit longer. She was genuine and compassionate. We are so fortunate to have her as our consular official.
As my appointment drew to a close, Margherita slid the document she had been using to notate every document I submitted back to me. She asked me to review her notes for accuracy while she went to the back of the office to officially submit my application with my $321.70 USPS money order. She returned with a photocopy of my Form 1 document which now had my file number written at the top. She informed me that I had no homework as of right now and mentioned that she would contact me via email if any additional documentation was needed. She also let me know that although the consulate had 24 months to process my application, she believes the process would likely wrap up much sooner. Margherita even told me that whenever she has moments of free time, it’s not uncommon for her to pull out an “easy” application (i.e. applicants who aren’t married, have no kids, or those with little to no homework) to try to complete it. Fingers crossed that means we’ll see even more approvals out of this consulate this year!
I thanked Margherita extensively as my appointment came to a close. We waved goodbye through the glass and Margherita disappeared into the office behind her. And just like that, this phase of my journey was complete. I walked out of the office homework-free and one step closer to my goal of dual citizenship. My husband and I celebrated afterward with an amazing lunch at North Italia just up the block. I was elated!
Closing Thoughts/Takeaways

• Margherita is extremely flexible when it comes to name discrepancies. I had a few and she never even mentioned name variations. I even had an OATS affidavit on standby but never needed it. All she seemed to care about were that key dates matched up relatively well.
• Err on the side of being overprepared. I had ship manifests, baptismal records, census records, WW2 draft registration cards, and countless other documents I found throughout my research process. Bring them all! Especially in cases of non-naturalization, Margherita needs extensive evidence that your LIRA never naturalized. Having all documentation ready to go also increases the likelihood that you’ll be one of the “easy” applications Margherita tries to complete in her free time at the office.
• Organize, organize, organize! In the weeks leading up to my appointment, I meticulously crafted a binder separated by each generation to come before me. On the day of my appointment, this binder proved to be invaluable. It was super easy to pull out each document Margherita requested. She seemed to appreciate this as well!
• Leverage online resources. This Reddit community and the Dual U.S.-Italian Citizenship Facebook group are such tremendous resources. It is through these spaces that I found an amazing translator in Andrea/lastfuelstation on Fiverr. These groups also introduced me to John Chiarelli (https://www.docutrek.com/) who was able to gather No Record of Naturalization letters very quickly from multiple counties in New York City. Beyond that, these online communities understand the ins and outs of this process in ways that no service provider ever could. I am so thankful
• Be gentle with yourself. Obtaining citizenship in a new country is a big deal that requires a bunch of work! Balancing ordering records, securing a coveted appointment and a ton of other jure sanguinis obligations can easily become overwhelming. Be kind to yourself throughout this process. You will get there. We will get there.

The last time I visited my dad in the hospital, I shared all the details I had dug up on ancestors I’d only seen in a handful of pictures. We pieced together their lives. In some sense, they were all finally real to me. To us. On Thursday, as I walked out of the Italian Consulate, I closed out an unexpected chapter in my life. Buried in the seemingly mundane vital records I had just turned over was a bridge back to little ol’ Aliano, Italy, and a connection to my great-grandfather, my grandfather, and my dad. It’s through this very process that, in some small way, I get to keep them alive.

On the night of September 19, 2006, Allan “Jay” Plowden was leaving a restaurant with his homies in The Bronx when he spotted Gina Conway across the street. He approached her on foot and introduced himself. She got in the car with him and they went to a bar. There, they got each other’s phone numbers. Two days later, they went shopping together in Bergen County and he took her to his hotel room at a Holiday Inn in Fort Lee. There, he showed her his bag filled with racks and gave her a key card. Later that night, he dropped her off in NYC and went back to the Holiday Inn where his homie David Taylor was also staying in another room with a woman. Jay shared a room with another woman.
When Gina got back in NYC, she went to a basketball court at a housing project in Harlem where Max B and his homies were. There, she told Max about Jay and how much money he had. Max said he would “get him,” so he called his stepbrother, Kelvin “Sims” Leerdam to come over. He told Sims about the plan and told Gina to go with him. Max called a cab for them, and the cab stopped at a gas station on the way. At the gas station, Max pulled up and told Gina that if she pulled it off, he would love her forever. The cab driver mistakenly went to 4 or 5 wrong Holiday Inns (this was 2006, so there wasn’t GPS back then) before arriving at the Fort Lee one.
In the hotel, Gina tried using her key card, but it didn’t work. She knocked on the door and a woman answered, and she said Jay was sleeping. Gina used her foot to stop the door from closing. Then, Sims pointed a gun at the woman and Gina duct taped her. She then woke up Jay, and Sims had the gun in his face. Gina duct taped him, and Sims told him not to look at him or he would be shot. Gina and Sims searched the room for the money, but they didn’t find any (Jay hid his money in a trash can). Sims then asked Jay where his homie’s (David Taylor) room was at, and Jay told them. Sims decided David would come to them, so him, holding Jay at gunpoint, told Jay to call David to bring the money over, but that if he acted like anything was wrong, he would be shot. When David arrived, Sims pointed the gun at him. David tried to take the gun from Sims, and that’s when Sims shot him in the head. Sims was about to go to David’s room to look for the money, but decided not to because he just killed somebody and the cops would be there any minute. Him and Gina then took a computer and some of Jay’s clothes, as well as $800 from David’s pockets and a watch that was on him, and put the items in Jay’s Louis bag. Jay managed to free himself and chased after them, but retreated when Sims pointed a gun at him. The taxi then took Sims and Gina back to New York. When they got back, Gina went to Max’s brother’s apartment and left the bag there.
The police found out Jay was wanted for money laundering as he told an undercover FBI agent a month earlier about his scheme to launder over $1 million. Before taking him to jail, they questioned him about the murder, and that’s when he ratted out Gina.
The police began looking for Gina, and on September 26, 2006, their search brought them to Max B’s apartment after learning he was her girlfriend. Max said Gina could’ve been at his brother’s apartment or at a strip club where she worked as an exotic dancer called Sin City. He called the police and the police called him over the next day or so, and he even told them to meet him at a secluded location because he feared his phone was tapped. At around midnight on September 28, 2006, he called them, saying she was probably headed to Sin City. Police then went over there, and saw her walking from the club to a train station, and they arrested her at the train station. When interrogated, she snitched on Max and Sims. She told the police the plan was originally to take Jay’s money while he was out at a club and leave, but when her and Sims arrived, she spotted Jay’s car. So after Gina was taken to jail, Max and Sims were arrested for felony murder.
While in the county, Tony Yayo hired Gerald Saluti (who would eventually turn out to be a shitty lawyer) and in July 2007, Jim Jones posted Max‘s $2 million bail. In January 2009, Gina took a plea deal to plead guilty to manslaughter and snitch on Max and Sims for a 15 year sentence.
On May 23, 2009, the trial began, and Max and Sims were tried together. The state’s first witnesses were cops who investigated the murder, Jay, the girl that was robbed with Jay, and the cab driver. At one point, Saluti said that if Max was guilty of anything, he was guilty of burglary. On the other hand, the prosecutor said that Max solicited Gina and Sims to carry out the crime, and that intentions didn’t matter, but outcomes did, because someone getting killed is a foreseeable outcome. The prosecutor also pointed out that Sims came over to the basketball court with a gun and duct tape.
When Gina took the stand, Saluti tried to paint Gina as a jilted lover and pointed out that she was an exotic dancer, as well as that she was high on drugs when the crime happened and when she gave her statement to the police. He also pointed out that she was dressed differently on the stand and that usually, she would be wearing a jumpsuit. Sims’ lawyer also said Gina lied on him. In closing arguments, Max’s lawyer said Gina left “a stink of a smell” on Max, and told the jury that when they were done deliberating, Max would go home and wash it off (the jury thought Saluti sounded stupid as shit saying that). The jury didn’t buy any of it so on June 9, 2009, Max and Sims were found guilty of felony murder. In September 2009, Max was sentenced to 75 years and Sims was sentenced to life plus 35 years.
Then, in 2016, Max won an appeal and pleaded guilty to manslaughter and got 20 years.

Raymond Virgil Ashburn was born November 7, 1922 in Gurley, Alabama. His parents Robert and Ola (Gray) were also born in Alabama. His father worked as a merchant and later as a farmer. Raymond had two older brothers, one of whom passed away as an infant, a younger sister, and a younger brother. In 1940, he had completed eighth grade and was working on the family farm.
​
Raymond enlisted in the Navy in February 1940 and after completing six weeks of training at Norfolk Naval Training Station served as a Seaman Second Class aboard the heavy cruiser USS Quincy (CA-39). From January to March 1942, Quincy operated in convoy duty off Iceland, then returned to the States for an overhaul at the New York Navy Yard that lasted until the end of May, and then sailed for San Diego.

In July 1942, Quincy got underway for the South Pacific with other vessels assembling for the invasion of Guadalcanal, the first major American counteroffensive against the Japanese Empire. Prior to the Marine assault on Guadalcanal on 7 August, Quincy destroyed several Japanese installations and an oil depot during her bombardment of Lunga Point, and later provided close fire support for the Marines during the landing.

In the early hours of 9 August 1942, Quincy and several other American cruisers were patrolling the channel between Florida Island and Savo Island, tasked to protect the northern approach to the Guadalcanal beachhead. In the pre-dawn darkness, the American ships were surprised to find themselves suddenly lit up by aerial flares and searchlights of an Imperial Japanese Navy task force of seven cruisers that were intent on destroying the American transports still unloading supplies for the Marine invasion force onto the beachhead. Within a few minutes, Quincy was caught in a vicious crossfire between three enemy cruisers and was set afire from multiple direct hits and torpedoes. The Quincy fought back valiantly, but less than an hour after the battle began the Quincy slipped beneath the waves, taking S2c Ashburn and 369 of the 807 sailors and marines onboard to their deaths.

While it was a decisive tactical victory for the Japanese, the Battle of Savo Island was a strategic loss as the IJN task force, in fear of being discovered by American carrier aircraft upon daylight, withdrew without attacking the invasion transports, thus improving the American chances for victory on Guadalcanal.

Raymond Virgil Ashburn is memorialized in the Manila American Cemetery and Memorial in Manila, Philippines, in Huntsville Memory Garden in Huntsville, Alabama, and at the Huntsville Madison County Veterans Memorial.
​
Raymond’s brother Cecil Ashburn served in the Army Corps of Engineers during WW2 and after the war ran one of North Alabama's most successful road-building companies.
​

Hi guys I’m looking to purchase investment properties on seller financing. Targeting people with no mortgages. I’m not interested in Sub to until I establish a good team.
To my understanding the documents needed to drafted is a purchase agreement, promissory note, and deed of trust/mortgage
I read a lot of different forums.
1) People are saying I would need to get an attorney for writing it up. I understand that, but can’t I just get one template from the attorney and use that for the future transactions? Just change the terms around?
2) So for this I need to have a lawyer and title company? I’ve heard there are some title companies that are owned by lawyers so maybe I can just use a title company for everything? Thoughts?
3) If an agent has a listing and I try to pitch it to them to talk to their seller, how would they get paid? Do I offer to pay their commission? Maybe a referral fee? I understand a-lot of agents are not a fan of it.
4) After all of that, how do you guys keep track of the payments? Does everyone use a servicing company?
 
6) Lastly, can anyone give me a small rough draft of the process.

So I have the 2022 Traveler ABS just broke 800 miles on it...yesterday I was out in the middle of nowhere going about 65 on a long stretch of county road when it just started losing power..... no sputtering, no nothing, but just picture being on a flat straight away and it acting like I was going up a long hill in 5th gear, when I should have been in 4th for it. Just starting to slow down.
So I down shifted, and got back up to speed, and went back into 5th and did the rest of 20 or so miles to get back home without an issue in 5th gear.
Never had any issues with it, did a proper break in, when I had the break in service done (Just about the time the fuel pump recall came out) and they didn't say anything about the fuel pump, and when I do the VIN recall search mine comes back clean.
Any ideas what that might have been, other than the motor cycle being bored by 20 miles of striaght, flat, boring Florida roads, and it was falling asleep out of boredom?
